“Aidan’s island was a beautiful way to spend two nights with extended family for my wife’s 40th.
The house is amazing and so comfy. He went all out w extra little details , Christmas lights , tree up and loads little choc treats in each of the sitting rooms. There was an apple pie waiting in kitchen. Such a lovely touch.
Couldn’t recommend place more.
Beds were very comfy & views were gorgeous.
Had plenty of fuel for the stove.

“Absolutely amazing stay. The best place we have ever stayed at. The beds were so cosy, the bath divine. The space in the house and the views were just superb even in winter. Even though its a big house it was very cosy and warm. There isn't a thing I could fault only that Aidan wouldn't sell us the house (my 3 girls were all up for buying it 😜). Aidan very kindly left us apple tart, milk and butter and there was everything we could possibly need in the house including games for the kids. We celebrated my daughter's birthday here and she said it was the best birthday ever. It was so good that apart from 1 trip to the swimming pool in Castlebar the kids didn't leave the house. We will definitely be back. Thanks a million Aidan for your wonderful hospitality.”

A beautiful house. Perfect for exploring Westport/Castlebar. We really enjoyed our night here, with three small kids who loved running around exploring the gardens. The house itself is fabulous - with spectacular views. Wish we could have stayed longer.”

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. And even better of how much of a gentleman Aidan was as a host. I couldnt recommend Aidans Island enough. We spent 5 nights with 3 kids under 5 and grandparents and there was loads of space for everyone. The place is so well equipped, beautifully finished and the setting is perfect for an escape. 5+ stars all round!

Aidans island was so incredibly beautiful. The photos don’t do it justice. The view is so incredible and the house itself is stunning and very well kept. Small touches like having butter in the fridge and salt and pepper for cooking made things so much easier for us. The view of the sunrise in the morning was enough for us to want to come back. Will return and will be recommending to friends and family. Beautiful spot.

A beautiful house with absolutely stunning views! Very comfortable beds and bedding. Aidan made some lovely special touches for us which made the stay extra special, small things such as coffee pods and spare toothpaste and toothbrushes in the bathrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, I would highly recommend Aidan’s Island for your next staycation!!

One of the best places we have ever stayed in. Lovely people. Amazing location and views. The pictures don't do it justice. The windows are spectacular and you could sit on the couch looking out over the lake for hours on end. They supplied so many useful supplies ie. Toothbrush, toothpaste . The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. It was very thoughtful. We appreciated it immensely.
Both Aidan and his wife were so sweet. The place was super clean.
We couldn' t fault anything.

Aidans Island is extremly comfortable, stylish and spacious. We were four adults (one with mobility issues) and two kids and the space was wonderful. Views are stunning. Kitchen well-stocked and all bedrooms very comfortable. The highlight for the kids was having a bath in the "giant" bath and swimming from end to end!
Westport is only a ten minute drive. Aidan and Maura were very responsive and helpful re questions. A brilliant stay.
